Tara Almoney, Information System Specialist, was named the MCPS Support Staff Employee of the Year. Almoney has worked for MCPS for 26 years. 

Almoney was nominated for her expertise, attention to detail, dedication, and work ethic. She is described as someone who remains calm, pleasant, and humble, regardless of the circumstances. She achieves the impossible and does so with impressive speed and accuracy. 

“Tara is the engine that keeps our department going,” said Doug Wickham, Director of Technology. “She is a collaborative thinker who engages with all MCPS staff in a professional and positive manner.” 

Almoney has been a member of the technology team since 2008. 

Almoney will serve as the Support Staff Employee of the Year for 2022-2023.
