English Language ArtsTextbook Review

Montgomery County Public Schools 

has been in the process of identifying a new textbook series 

for adoption of Grades 6-12 English Language Arts 

teacher/student resources. 

English Language Arts teachers are in the process of 

reviewing four VDOE vendor products that are fully aligned 

with the 2017 ELA Standards of Learning

Carnegie Learning

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

McGraw-Hill

Pearson Education (SAVVAS)

 Hardcopy samples are located at the School Board Office 

and are available for public viewing 

beginning March 21st through April 15th, 2022

Daily 8:00-4:30

(Evening Options 5:00-7:00 pm on March 24th and 31st, 

as well as April 7th)

Viewers are asked to complete a feedback form that is available 

on the display table with the series samples.

****As a reminder, visitors to the SBO must follow all mitigation requirements.****
